POH, Feb 23 (Bernama) -- Perak is regaining investors' confidence after the Barisan Nasional (BN) took over the state government early this month, Menteri Besar Datuk Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir said today.
Several major investors who had previously deferred their investments had resumed discussions with the state government on how to go about implementing them.
"The investors are returning and several of them have come to meet me and a series of meetings have been held," he told reporters after meeting the state civil servants here today.
Zambry was commenting on the statement by former Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin yesterday claiming that the state no longer enjoying investors' confidence due to the prolonged political crisis in the wake of the change in the state government.
The opposition pact lost its majority in the state legislative assembly when four of its assemblymen left their respective parties -- one to rejoin the BN while the other three, to become "BN-friendly" Independent members.
